The Artist - Jack Grundle, SFCA

  • Born in 1922 at Coleman, Alberta.
  • Moved to the B.C. Coast in 1923, spent his school years in Powell River.
  • With the R.C.A.F. 1941 - 45 - overseas for 3 1/2 years.
  • Attended Vancouver School of Art 1945-47.
  • Worked as a commercial artist for the next 18 years, which included 8 years at Advertising Agencies as Art Director and Creative Director.
  • Publisher, Editor and Illustrator for Western Fish and Game Magazine 1965-1975
  • Fine Art Painter from 1975 'til 2004. For the past 15 years Jack and his wife Lia have been living in Campbell River on Vancouver Island and this fascinating area influenced most of his work.
  • Senior member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
